The Humane Society of Utah found a very clever way to find its cuddly canines a forever home: photo booth glamour shots to get dogs adopted. With hundreds of other dogs barking and competing for a home, the organization decided to let each dog shine, showing off their unique personalities through a series of photo sessions.

To showcase how lovable and adorable these adoption-ready pets really are, they hired professional photographer Guinnevere Shuster to set up a clever doggie photoshoot in the hopes of ensuring their adoption.

According to the ASPCA, approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters across America every year. Of those, approximately 3.9 million are dogs, 1.2 million of which end up being euthanized, proving that it’s extremely important to adopt rescue animals.

The good news is that the photo booth glamour shots were a major success. It helped connect pets to families hundreds of miles away in come cases. And, all the dogs pictured here already have new homes.

In fact, the pet photo booth idea worked so well, that the shelter is said to have potential dog owners lined up to adopt.

In the video below, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into the process and see the dogs adorably posing for photos. The Humane Society of Utah wrote on their YouTube page:

“This gives everyone a chance to form a connection with these animals before they ever step foot inside the dog shelter.”
