You may already know Aristidou by her famous coffee paintings. Coffee-Paintings-by-Maria-A.-Aristidou-10__605The artist doesn’t just create her favorite popular culture characters out of coffee anymore, she has moved onto to recreating famous paintings on cakes. Her latest project known as Art On Cakes will blow you away.

The cakes you see below were made for a local Patisserie Vienna Boutique, Cake Gallery in Larnaca, Cyprus. Each cake was made from Vienna Boutique’s highly coveted delicious chocolate recipe and then covered in sugar paste followed by edible paints. The artist says the painstaking process takes between 6 and 10 hours on average depending on the size and complexity of the design.
