At 173 Pounds, Hulk Might Be The World’s Biggest Pitbull And He’s Still Growing!

If you’re going to get a guard dog, you might as well get one that’s 173 pounds of pit bull. Meet Hulk, a ginormous bully pit bull living in the USA that tips the scales at a whopping 173.4 pounds. Not only is Hulk one of the world’s biggest pit bulls, but also he is a trained professional guard dog.

Don’t let his size scare you; this gentle giant is one big sweetie-pie with a heart of gold. Hulk’s owners, Marlon and Lisa Grannon, couldn’t possibly love him more. Despite his size and what he is capable of, they trust him 100% with their three-year-old son, Jordan.

In fact, Jordan and Hulk are best buds, Hulk even lets Jordan ride him around the house, and the pair makes lovely music together. Read on to learn more about the world’s biggest pit bull, and check out the video at the bottom of the post to see Hulk and Jordan sing a song together.

Marlon operates Dark Dynasty K9, one of the best in the business for breeding and training guard dogs and police dogs. Breeding, training and selling dogs for a living means the Grannon family sees a lot of dogs come and go, but they never plan to sell Hulk, no matter what.

Hulk most definitely found his forever home, and a loyal one at that. Marlon Grannon says a couple people have offered him as much as a few hundred thousand dollars for Hulk, but he has turned down all offers.

Hulk is only 17-months; in other words he may still have some growing left to do! Already he consumes a solid 4-pounds of ground beef every single day, among other things.

Hulk is happy to let Jordan catch a ride on his back for short trips around the house. Jordan’s little hands grasping just behind Hulk’s 28-inch head.

Pit bulls have earned a reputation for being dangerous; in fact, in the UK breeding bans are enforced. Yet, Mr. Grennan explains they make excellent and very caring family dogs. Despite the stereotypes, with correct training pit bulls are just as sweet as any dog breed.

Mr. Grennan says, “I don’t think it’s irresponsible for people to have pit bulls and children. They’re dogs just like any other dog. No matter what the breed it is, it is hundred per cent how you raise them.”

All 174-pounds of Hulk stand in proof of this.

Dark Dynasty breeds and trains some of the world’s best guard dogs for high profile individuals, celebrities, police officers, and everyday people that just want to feel safe and protected. The dogs are trained to be 100% fearless, while remaining sweet and obedient.

No matter how sweet this adorable beast may be, I certainly don’t want to get on Hulk’s bad side…

Prior to starting Dark Dynasty, Marlon was a boxer until a hand injury ended his career. When one door opens another closes. 10-years-ago, Marlon started his own training and breeding company with just two dogs. Today, he has many more dogs and plenty of success stories under his belt.

Living in the middle of New Hampshire where crime rates are extremely low, Marlon doesn’t ‘need’ a guard dog. He adds, “But I’ve got clients in Grenada and parts of Africa… I’ve got clients in terrible, terrible places. They don’t live in Candyland, they live in fear. And why should somebody else live in fear if they don’t have to. So that’s my job, to try to alleviate somebody else’s fear by giving them a family dog too.”

The Grannon family never plans to sell Hulk, but they may offer his offspring for sale. It will cost you a pretty penny though, a trained dog sired by Hulk could cost as much as $35,000.

Hulk, back when he was still a little-bitty puppy:

The average American pit bull terrier is three-times smaller than Hulk. Marlon says Hulk is among the top three biggest pit bulls in the world, and he is the youngest of them all.
