Most have lists upon lists of places where they’re just yearning to travel to, pining and mock planning for that dream vacation or two. Eventually, between all those exacting life responsibilities, you may scrounge up some funds and a week or so of vacation time to visit a place or two you’ve been longing to see.
But that quick blip of travel, while still likely an enjoyable and fantastic experience, can leave many itching for more. Travel seems to be something of an unrequited love for most, a hunger that just can’t be satisfied.
I mean, who doesn’t want to see the world in all its entirety, from the towering icebergs of the artic down to the glorious Argentinian waterfalls. Just think of how amazing it would be to quit your day job, pack up your bags, and travel to a far off place while leaving the world as you know it far behind.
But that’s easier said than done, and, while they may dream of it, most will never make that leap. There’s a little something called reality that makes a traveling adventure into the unknown difficult to achieve.
However, a man named Raf Horemans did take that leap. He successfully accomplished what most people only dream of doing. Several months ago, he made the decision to quit his job, pack up his things, and travel the world – just like that.
Armed with a good camera and a love for all things exotic, he’s made his way around the globe and has documented his adventure for all of us to see.
While this may be just mere smattering of his many pictures, Horemans has his own travel blog that’s just full of all his astounding photographs. Be warned though, it’s easy to lose track of time as you gaze from one picture to the next, soaking in some of that seemingly other-worldly beauty.
Horemans has photos from all over the globe and of pretty much any subject you can think of. He’s been to a variety of countries, including Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Iceland, New Zealand, and countless more.
He’s seen still blue lakes, rugged mountain tops, glittering night skies, and large grassy fields. He’s taken skydiving leaps, indulged in delicious food, encountered exotic animals, and mingled with locals.
Everything he does in all his pictures is just seeping in the unique culture of the place it represents. You can try to live your travel dreams through Horemanas experiences, but don’t be surprised if you become jealous as you scroll through his photos.
He’s done some amazing things and been to many beautiful places. Who wouldn’t want that?
Maybe all of us should take a leaf out of Horemans book and gather up the courage to do what we’ve been dreaming of. Whether that’s traveling or not, we’ve only got one life to live, and there’s a whole world of opportunities out there, just waiting to be explored.
Anyways, time to give my two weeks notice. Meet you on the other side of the world?
Question of the Day:
